Connect an agent

The address of the MCP server

Your agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients that support MCP) works with colabro at this address. You sign in with your account: the client opens a colabro page where you allow access.

How to connect

Choose your client. The names of menu items may differ with the version and the plan. The steps were checked in October 2026.

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
  1. Open “Customize” → “Connectors”.
  2. Press “+ Add” and choose “Add custom connector”.
  3. Enter a name (colabro, for example) and paste the server address above. Press “Continue” and then “Add”; the sign-in settings Claude finds by itself need no changes.
  4. Press “Connect”: a colabro page opens, sign in and allow access.

On the Claude Team and Enterprise plans the owner of the organization adds the connector first (“Organization settings” → “Connectors”), then every member presses “Connect” for themselves.

ChatGPT
  1. Open the “Plugins” section in ChatGPT (in earlier versions, connectors and apps, sometimes only in developer mode).
  2. Press “+” and choose “Add custom MCP server”.
  3. Enter a name and a description; under “Connection” paste the address above (it already has the path /mcp).
  4. Choose OAuth as the way to sign in, confirm the warning (“I understand and want to continue”) and press “Create as a plugin”.
  5. Sign in and allow access on the colabro page.

Whether you can add your own servers depends on the plan and the rules of your workspace. If your version has no such item, ChatGPT cannot be connected.

Cursor

Open Cursor Settings → “Tools and Integrations” → “New MCP Server”, or add an entry to the file .cursor/mcp.json (for the project) or ~/.cursor/mcp.json (for all projects):

{"mcpServers": {"colabro": {"url": "https://colabro.app/mcp"}}}

Signing in starts in the MCP settings of Cursor and ends in the browser: a colabro page opens where you allow access (no client ID to enter). If you need a token instead of signing in, add the field headers with Authorization: Bearer <token> to the server entry.

Claude Code

Run in a terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http colabro https://colabro.app/mcp

Then open the command /mcp in Claude Code and choose to sign in for colabro. If you need a token instead of signing in, add --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>" to the command.

VS Code and other MCP clients
  • In VS Code open the command palette (Ctrl+Shift+P), run “MCP: Add Server”, choose “HTTP” and paste the address above.
  • In other clients the server type is remote (Streamable HTTP), the address is the one above.
  • If the client can sign in with OAuth, it offers to sign in to colabro by itself.
  • If it cannot, send the header Authorization: Bearer <token>.

Or by hand, for VS Code in the file .vscode/mcp.json:

{"servers": {"colabro": {"type": "http", "url": "https://colabro.app/mcp"}}}

You need a token if the client cannot sign in with OAuth or if it is a script. Create one in your account, section “Tokens for scripts”.

Connected agents

The list of your agents and when they last called colabro appear after you sign in.

The official MCP registry

colabro is published in the official registry of MCP servers under the name:

Clients that read the registry find colabro by this name. The registry entry (JSON, for developers).

The first request

Once the agent is connected, ask it to do something in colabro. For example:

Show my workspaces in colabro
Create a colabro workspace for tracking household chores with a kanban board
Create a colabro workspace for planning a holiday: dates, places and budget
