Equipment and inventory

Every item with its place, custodian, warranty and servicing; who borrowed what and when it comes back, so nobody has to search the whole office for the drill.

A small workshop, office, crew or family where people borrow things from each other and need to keep track of warranties and servicing.

These are examples, not the limit: your agent will build any data model your task needs.

What it is for

Someone took the drill a month ago, the laptop warranty ran out last week, and the generator was due for a service back in spring. Everyone knew a piece of it, but nobody had the whole picture.

Here every item has a place, a custodian, a warranty and a service date, and a lent item also has who took it and when it comes back. The agent records lending and returns from what you tell it and answers who has what and what needs checking.

How it looks in colabro

On the sample data the workspace is created with.

Lent out

What is due back first is at the top. Ask the agent: “who is overdue?”

What the agent does

  1. YouOliver has borrowed the drill until Tuesday.

AgentMarks the drill as lent: to Oliver, from today, due back by Tuesday.

ResultThe drill appears on the “Lent out” tab with its return date.

  2. YouWho has the drill, and who hasn't returned things on time?

AgentReads the lent items and compares their return dates with today's date.

ResultOliver has the drill until 21 Oct; Irene has the laser level, which was due back on 16 Oct.

  3. YouWhat goes out of warranty in the next two months?

AgentCompares warranty end dates with today and lists the items with their custodians.

ResultThe laptop until 15 Nov, the hammer drill until 1 Dec: time to get them checked.

Ask your agent to make one

Copy the request and send it to your agent: it creates the workspace and fits it to you.

Create a colabro workspace “Equipment and inventory” from the example inventory: items with their place, warranty and servicing, who borrowed what and when it comes back. Adjust the item kinds and places to us, and ask me about anything unclear all at once.

For the agent to do it, connect it to colabro: Connect an agent.
